Negotiations skills workshops expand in Nepal
In August, Nepal held a Negotiations Workshop for 20 participants in the Ministry of Health and Population as it continued its series of training workshops that began in September 2009. The trainings strive to build participants’ awareness, skills and confidence in negotiation strategies, methods and techniques. The workshop had a specific emphasis on how to conduct “at-the-table” negotiations, which addressed the complex situations that many health professionals find themselves in with donors and development partners. Following the workshop, participants gained important skills needed to better manage complex donor relationship and achieve more substantive outcomes.
More information on the training will be available soon. Information on past negotiations trainings can be found here.
